Highlights from the Summit
Why Attend
Hyperconnected and health-focused consumers are switching their purchasing habits from a one-size-fits-all approach to personalized solutions, digital interfaces and on-demand manufacturing. The nutrition space is no exception. With increasing populations of ‘biohackers’ there is a demand to self quantify, pre-diagnose and consume only foods designed to fit your daily macros. But how does the nutrition industry provide for n=1?
The Personalized Nutrition Innovation Summit showcases disruptive start ups in four main categories; biological data capture, data analysis, meal planning and supplement providers.
From personalized vitamins to AI-driven meal planning, we will be discussing how to develop scalable, trackable and attainable personalized nutrition solutions.
The summit brings together CEOs, CTOs, investors and founders across the nutrition industry. Attend the summit to learn how to assess the current science behind personalized nutrition, the tools to strengthen recommendations and the steps to foster partnerships in this multidisciplinary ecosystem.

Talk to me about... my research:
Maintaining health and delaying disease onset result from complex interactions between genetic makeup, behavior, socioeconomic, and environmental factors. Our multidisciplinary, international teams have been developing a more holistic approach to research summarized as systems nutrition. We use standard and emerging computational methods to integrate and analyze physiological data with measures of diet intake and physical activity while accounting for the built environment and genetic makeup.
Talk to me about… something people may not know about me:
I might qualify for the Tour de France but I would likely stop too often to take photos of scenery, competitors, and onlookers.

GenoPalate
Website: https://www.genopalate.com/
Across the globe, we are lacking personalized nutritional guidelines to support improving the incidence of chronic disease and escalating health care costs. GenoPalate originated in November, 2016 when Dr Sherry Zhang (Founder/CEO) identified a gap in people’s access to personal nutrition that impacts on sustainable eating habits and metabolic health outcomes.
GenoPalate provides personalized nutrition recommendations and food choices based upon an individual’s DNA. Continuous resources empower customers to make dietary and behavioral changes. Our four-step process includes:
- DNA Data Collection – we process DNA through an FDA approved saliva collection kit or utilize DNA results from 23andMe or Ancestry.
- Data Analysis - genes are analyzed to review >100 genetic markers that determine specific needs for carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals, sensitivity to lactose and gluten, and metabolism of caffeine and alcohol.
- GenoPalate Report – personalized recommendations are provided for 25 macro/micro nutrients based upon the individual’s genetic profile. The macro/micro nutrient recommendations drive a personalized food map containing 85+ foods in 14 categories.
- GenoPalate Activate – includes food preparation tips, meal planning, recipes, motivation to overcome healthy eating barriers, weekly challenges, access to the GenoPalate User community and mobile app tools to eat for your genes.
